Habit 4:Understanding diversity of interpretations through analysis of context, point of view, and frame of reference.
Everyone looks at things through ther own eyes. When people see something they base it on what they know, or what they think is right. When the spanish came they looked at the mexica like savages. To some mexica the spanairds looked like gods. Later on in history we see the capitalist againts the communits. They saw each other with horid eyes. Both of them saw the other as the person doing wrong. To some people knowledge means going to scoohl, reading a t, but to other it means being wise, making the right choices, and knowing how to respect mother nature. Also, the interpretation of opression of women. Most Americans believe that the veiling of women is wrong, because it diminishes the freedom of women, and we see it as opression. On the other hand, the Middle Eastern peolple view our way of expressing ourselves as opression, because the American culture each day become more of ho you lok on the outside raher than who you are as a person. Throughtout the world thre are many cutures, and ways of living, so when they interact we get different ways of viewing subjects. In my opinion, I believe we should respect each others points of view, and learn from each other rather than critisize, because knowledge and respect are neccesary to be come open minded.
