Habit 3:Assessing continuity and change over time and over different world regions.
The change over time essay is one of the three types of essays we worked on this year. When I heard about it in the beginning of the year I did not think it was going to be that difficult. The truth is that it does consists of a lot of information. You have to remember the specific dates in which certain events happened, and make sure all the information is accurate. In these essays we were given a place, and a time period to examine, and we also have to explain into detail what has occurred throughout that time period. A question I will never forget is "why", I got that question on almost every single essay I wrote. Some times it was hard to answer why, but that question helped me think more into the topic, and it also helped me learn about the topic better. This type of essay helped me see that every single thing that happened in the past, affects the present, and it will also affect the future. This has helped me open my eyes to see how a decision made today has, or could have a very big impact in our future. Therefore I am grateful for having encountering this type of essay.
Evidence
The piece of evidence I decided to use for this habit of mind is the "Change Over Time in China 1450 - 1750. I chose this, because on this essay i got a good grade. On this essay I recieved a four. Although, it wasn't the best score I have evergotten, I decided to use it because it shows how I have improved throughout the school year. In the beginning of the year I use to get ones and twos, so I am prod to say that I got a four on this essay.
